Boston Takes Its City Back With An Inspiring National Anthem And A Little Profanity From Big Papi

On Wednesday evening, the city of Boston took a break from mourning those lost in the Marathon bombing to celebrate America and hockey at a Bruins game.

What they didn’t know then is that a dramatic manhunt beginning with the death of an MIT police officer would lead to the death of one of the bombing suspects and the capture of the other.

The relief that followed the successful end of that manhunt was clear to all Saturday afternoon as Red Sox star David Ortiz, aka “Big Papi,” made a simple declaration that spoke for millions of Bostonians.

And though he used one of George Carlin’s famed “Seven Words You Can Never Say On Television,” Ortiz was given the thumbs-up by FCC chairman Julius Genachowski.
